We have some talented metal craftspeople in this area. We use sterling and fine silver, and various karat golds. Australians will wear 9"ct." gold, most Asians won't wear anything under 22 kt., while most Americans like 14 kt. or 18 kt. Students of the Kuranda School of Encouragement start out in sterling silver, and eventually graduate to the use of gold . . . under the guidance of goldsmith Jan Brown.
